Respite Care

Here at Homestead we provide short Respite Care service. Respite Care is the provision of short-term, temporary relief to those who are caring for family members who might otherwise require permanent placement in a facility outside the home.

The reality is that there are times when even the most loving and dedicated of carers need a break. There can be any number of reasons for this; perhaps the carer is themselves unwell or has to be elsewhere, or maybe they are taking a well deserved holiday? This is where we can help. Homestead has dedicated rooms offering 24-hour care for those requiring this temporary residential service.

Respite care at our home is also an excellent way of familiarising service user with our surrounding and people, so if/when a permanent move into residential care becomes necessary, they already feel at home with us.
